According to the Daily Mail, former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore is asking consumers to boycott one of Britain's most famous department stores following an undercover investigation exposing horrific cruelty to animals at its foie gras suppliers. The shocking video shows geese confined to barren pens panicking and struggling as workers shove a metal pipe down their throats and pump their stomachs full of grain.
This cruel process is repeated three to four times a day--every day. The geese's distended livers, which can swell to up to 10 times their natural size, press against the birds' lungs, causing them to pant constantly. Some of the birds can no longer stand because their legs can't support the weight of their livers, possibly also resulting in leg fractures. The birds' livers become engorged and diseased, and result in horrific emotional and physical suffering for these unfortunate animals.

Foie gras is so cruel that its production has been banned in numerous countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Israel. On July 1, 2012, California became the first US state to ban the production and sale of foie gras produced by cruel force-feeding techniques.
