New Study: Meat Consumption Linked to Asthma and Hay Fever

The study followed the diets of nearly 160,000 Australian men and women and found that as participants’ meat consumption increased, so did their risk of lifetime asthma and hay fever.

Researchers found that lifetime asthma and lifetime hay fever were generally associated with “diets marked by greater intakes of meats, poultry, and seafood.”

As scientific research continues to show the dangers of eating meat, undercover investigations continue to expose the horrific abuses farmed animals endure before they reach consumers’ plates. Fortunately, preventing cruelty to animals and human aliments such as asthma and hay fever is easy with a plant-based diet.
