A new undercover investigation by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals shows the extreme cruelty and suffering pigs endure before being killed for hot dogs, sausage, and bacon. The shocking video footage was taken inside a Southern Quality Meats slaughterhouse in Mississippi, which has been awarded more than six million dollars in taxpayer funds to supply meat to schools in Mississippi. The video exposes workers sadistically electro-shocking terrified pigs in their stomachs and genitals for no apparent reason. According to the investigator, some of the pigs were tortured like this for up to thirty minutes before being hung upside down and having their throats slit open.
