One of the biggest annual street festivals in Chicago, Andersonville Midsommarfest draws thousands of attendees. Volunteers staffed MFA's literature and merchandise table, collecting donations and distributing Vegetarian Starter Kits, and Another Inconvenient Truth and Why love one but eat the other? brochures. Thanks to VegFund, volunteers were also able to distribute free samples of Primal Strips vegan jerky at the MFA table, which one festival attendee described as "the bomb" after trying it.

Andersonville2.JPGTurtle Mountain also generously donated SO Delicious ice cream bars and sandwiches - Coconut Almond Minis and Vanilla Minis. Volunteers stood along the sidewalks holding trays of ice cream and offering Why Vegan? brochures and Vegetarian Guides to Chicago to the crowds drawn by the free goodies.
